Reset your MacOS Computer Login Password

If you can't remember your MacOS computer password (different from your Microsoft 365 password you use when checking email), follow the steps below to reset the computer password.

1. You will need to obtain the File Vault Recovery Key from IT Support. Email support@core4ce.com to request the key.

2. Once you have the 24 digit key, enter a password up to three times, your Mac should show the password-reset options.

3. When you see the option to restart and show password reset options, click it to restart your Mac. When prompted, enter your FileVault recovery key.

4. Select a user that you want to reset the password for, then click Next.

5. Enter your new password information, then click Next.

6. When the password reset is completed, click Restart.
